Quinta da Fontoura, dates back to the 19th century and has since been inhabited by several generations of the same family. It is an ample space that contemplates several different areas among themselves and that provide distinct and unique environments for all tastes.
On the threshing floor, where corn was once dried and kept, with privileged exposure to the sun, is Casa da Eira, a living room with windows overlooking the lake and a hut area, ideal for resting in the shade. From the threshing floor you can see the gardens below, two terraces that surround the mother house.
Eira has a living room that offers a good place to relax, socialize, play a good game of cards, play table football or just watch TV.
A place of shade, beautiful gardens and deep peace. Where you can rest and socialize enjoying the shade and charm bellow the centuries-old “Japoneiras” Trees.
Overlooking the lake, it is the ideal place for a nap, reading a book and to enjoy all the peace and tranquility that this place has to offer.
The Courtyard of the Vines, the oldest in the house and which gives access to the Grand Parents and the Guest Rooms, provides you with the tasty shade for a summer afternoon and the freshness of a warm night. Then you can have a drink, read a book, socialize…
The inner courtyard, built simultaneously with the requalification of several annexes, is surrounded by the “manjedoura”, a place where breakfast and meals are served on request.
In the former Quinta’s orange grove, the current owner created a 700m2 water mirror that extends from the gardens to the entrance to the forest. Half a lake, half a pool, the harmony between nature and a biological ecosystem is evident. The ideal place to swim, enjoy contact with nature and soak up the sun.
One of the most beautiful and ancient places of the Quinta, where you can enjoy freshness and tranquility among secular trees, water lines from the existing spring and a river that runs at the far end of the farm, in an area of approximately 15,000 m2.A place of silence, freshness and peace where contact with nature is at its peak.
The forest also hides inside an old palatial family house that unfortunately burned and can be seen in the form of ruins or old photos.
